Donald Rumsfeld and Frederick Douglas sit down for a game of Scrabble that quickly turns into a war of words. Created for Cutting Ball Theater’s production of “Mount Misery”.

Although this scene never takes place in the play it does capture the relationship and themes the production explores. I snagged some inspiration from the chess game scene in the 1968 version of “The Thomas Crown Affair”.
